  Staff were friendly and the beds and bathroom were good. Right on the waterfront so that was beautiful. But on the negative side, an outlet didn't work, the mini fridge was riddled with mould, and in our room (7) was out of range of detecting the Wifi at all. We had to walk outdoors and up by the office door to access it.. Not an ideal stay. Hopefully they can fix those problems easily enough for future guests.

  Very disappointed with this place. We made reservations in May for our trip in August and the owners called us to cancel us because they had to give our room to other people! It was very difficult to find another place afterward... Not very professional!

  Beautiful location, rooms are ok, some are newly furnished, some need renovations, receptionist and housekeeping are awesome.

  For a motel in rural Newfoundland, this is a surprisingly nice place to stay. The people that run it are friendly, the rooms are spacious and well equipped. If you want something fancier, stay in St John's or get a B&B, but if you want a quaint place at a great value, stay here.
